Connect WhatsApp to Your Bot

This section explains the complete WhatsApp onboarding and deployment flow inside Botrelic based on the chatbot builder workflow.

STEP 1 — Name Your Bot

Users first create and name their chatbot inside a Workspace.

The bot name identifies the AI assistant that will handle customer conversations across channels.

Each bot belongs to a Workspace and can later connect to WhatsApp or Website deployments.

STEP 2 — Select Platform

Users choose where the chatbot will be deployed.

Available platforms:

  • Website
  • WhatsApp

Selecting WhatsApp enables WhatsApp-specific deployment and integration flows.

STEP 3 — Choose Use Case

Users select the primary business objective of the chatbot.

Available use cases:

  • Customer Support
  • Lead Capture

Botrelic uses the selected use case to optimize:

  • AI prompts
  • Response behavior
  • Fallback handling
  • Workflow templates

STEP 4 — Add Knowledge Base

Users upload business knowledge such as:

  • FAQs
  • Support documents
  • Website content
  • Internal business information

The knowledge base becomes the intelligence layer used by AI agents to answer customer questions accurately.

STEP 5 — Connect Platform (WhatsApp)

Botrelic provides two WhatsApp connection modes. Choose the one that best fits your current setup stage.

STEP 6 — Deploy Bot

Once WhatsApp setup is complete, users can deploy the chatbot into production.

Deployment behavior:

  • Customer messages create Sessions
  • AI Agents respond automatically
  • Workspace routing manages conversations
  • Human agents receive escalations when fallback rules trigger
